Go Fuck Yourselves, Fuck Lickers

While you read this, I'll probably be at the parade. People want to give credit to the Penguins, but they deserve none. They suck my asshole's hair.

I'm Not Scared

I couldn't stay up to watch the game last night/this morning. There was nothing exciting about waking up to the wife telling you that the Wings lost in 4 overtimes. I don't understand why Red Wing fans thought that today wasn't a scheduled day for the parade. In case you didn't notice, the streets were blocked off tonight in preparation for it. Holmstrom is playing through his injury. That's why we didn't see much of him last night.

Finally, and unfortunately, I have no news about the new scheduled day for the parade. My friend is keeping his ears open, but from what he told me, the Red Wings personnel that he talks to are on edge this morning. But I'm Not Scared.

Tonight Is The Night

It has been a busy weekend for me. I will never get used to working weekends. Great game for the Wings on Saturday night. I promised everyone I would stop talking about the parade.

Go Wings!!

Woops

I thought this was just going to be a small endeavor with just me and a couple of friends, and I certainly didn't expect a writer at Yahoo.com mentioning the blog. My friend's job is not in jeopardy, thank God.

Also, I saw that a Penguins blog has also been mentioning the blog. The person who operates that blog doesn't realize that you can't defame a person's character in the way they have done to mine. Regardless of what happens in this series, I definitely have the means to file a lawsuit and will do so. I work at a law firm that has its own division for issues regarding the internet.

P.S. The Game 3 loss in Pittsburg has not altered the city's plans for Tuesday, June 3rd.

Breaking News

I just learned that Tomas Holmstrom will be out for the rest of the series. He suffered a sports hernia sometime during Game 3. I don't think the news has broke anywhere else. It goes without saying that this is not good for the Red Wings and/or the parade.

Quick Update

Hey, everyone. I wanted to blog real quick while on my lunch break here. The news we all got yesterday about the parade talk was seemingly all true. Real Important -- A couple of people left comments yesterday, and they mentioned how the Red Wings and the city have really hit the nail on the head with the planning. I got some more information today, and it's pretty much a guarantee that even if the series goes 5 games, it will still leave ample time to set up Woodland and Hart Plaza overnight for the festivities on Tuesday.

Let's Go Wings!!!

IT IS CONFIRMED! TUESDAY, JUNE 3RD

Just got home from work. It was a busy day. Imagine my surprise when I came home and saw that approximately 1,500 people that passed through the site already. I remember we did this through e-mail chains back in '02, but message boards and blogs make it so much easier. The whole gang is awaiting word to call in sick to work next week for the big day.

Rumor has it the parade will be on Tuesday, June 3rd. My friend (shall remain nameless) works downtown. He said the Red Wings and city officials talked briefly today about what looks to be the inevitable sweep of the pathetic Penguins. Newspapers will be getting information about the parade route later in the week. It sounds like it's gonna be on Woodward again. I mentioned last night that the Pistons parade was on Chene, but that was because of construction.

It's going to be tough to head into work on Monday, and then have to take a day off, and then jump back into the swing of things at work. It throws off your whole week. But I know Wings fans everywhere won't mind a bit.

I'll update the site when more details come in. I messed something up on Blogspot and disabled the comments section at the bottom of blogs. You should be able to make comments again.

GO WINGS!

Start Planning!

OUR BELOVED WINGS ARE ON THE VERGE!
THOSE FLIGHTLESS PENGUINS WERE NO THREAT TO US!!

I wanted to get the jump on everything and have this blog become the center of all planning surrounding the inevitable Stanley Cup Parade in Detroit. Maybe we can get some "tailgating" going. My wife and I camped out in Hart Plaza overnight for the last Cup parade in order to get a front-row seat for the players talking at the podium.

I'm guessing that the players will talk at a podium in Hart Plaza, which is what they've done before. I wasn't sure about the origin of the parade back in 2002, but I was at the Pistons parade in 2004, and it went as follows:

^^ Sorry about cutting off some of Chene Street lol ^^

I was at one of the Cup parades that went down Woodward Avenue and ended at Hart Plaza. Anyone know if there was a reason why the Pistons parade didn't follow this same route? Is this a blueprint for how the city wants parade to go now?

I wanted to dedicate the blog to Vladdy.
He has been a source of inspiration for Wings fans.

Please! Leave comments with speculation about the route.
